Hello, I liked the Subtle Mind and practice the best. It was refreshing and relaxing. Some of the others involved too much thinking and I do that too much already!! I just want to be able to relax, each and every muscle, breath and feel rejuvenated when I am done. I find that I tense up a lot and do not breath right all the time when I am tense. Like when you are scared and you tense up and hold your breath. I am not scared I just have so much to do that I am always worried I will forget something. I love the way my mind can focus on relaxing, even if only for a few minutes to regain my composure and continue on, only with a renewed mind and a gentle spirit. I will do this more often and I also find that I am able to enjoy life more when I am not "stressing out" all the time. I have learned so much in this class and even my misconceptions of meditation.

I agree with you on the Subtle Mind exercise. My mind is always doing "mindless chattering" and I am always wondering or worrying about the next thing I need to do or didn't do. It is nice to just take a few minutes to stop and clear the mind so that I can regroup and refocus. I think that if I could incorporate this into my daily life for an hour or so that I would be better off.
ReplyDeleteHello Heather! I agree also that the Subtle Mind was one the best exercises throughout this course. I was easily able to relax and let go of all my stressors. Afterwards, I felt energized and was able to carry on and accomplish alot more tasks throughout my day.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
ReplyDeleteLike you and the others that responded to your post, I too enjoy the subtle mind practice the most. I can almost feel the tension of the day melt away when I am using this meditative technique. Hope to keep trying that one and expanding with some other audio meditation clips.
“I find that I tense up a lot and do not breath right all the time when I am tense” This is one of the issues I have also and the exercises have been helping me with my breathing all around even when I work out. I am now more aware of it and also the benefits I can get from working on and being aware. Do you also find yourself using this anywhere else?
